Filthy Rich is part of a series I have dubbed 'Color Fields'. The series stems from the idea of feasting on a field of color. In its infancy, this series started from investigating color and celebrating the joy it brings. My work has always played with the tension created by contrasting elements. The allure of a red Cadillac but yet so gaudy in reality, or how a drop of honey can be a sirens song for the eyes but in excess it can be sickly sweet. Accented in gold like a faberge egg  Filthy Rich was my hedonistic, almost sinful dive into color."

My time as an assistant at Peters Valley was life-changing to say the least. It is one of those dog eared pages in my book of experiences I have had. I made such special connections with working artists in my community which I cherish. I cannot thank Bruce Dehnert, his wife Kulvinder Kaur Dhew, and the rest of the Peters Valley Staff for being a continuous source of support by providing opportunity and driving my studio practice.
