This commemorative poster is designed in the style of the original WPA posters for national parks from the 1930s-40s. The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area became a national park in 1965, so it never had a poster that promoted it during that time. Inspired by the official DEWA icon designed by Frank McShane , this is a hand-silkscreened print in 5 colors on art-grade paper, suitable for framing.

19" x 25"

Artist: Ennis Carter

Ennis Carter, Philadelphia, PA
Ennis Carter is the founder of Posters for the People: Art of the WPA - a project that documents and presents the posters that were created to promote the programs of the New Deal after the Great Depression in the U.S. Through an NEA-funded collaboration with Peters Valley, she designed this poster in the spirit of the WPA to stand alongside other park posters from the era.
