Debbie Reichard - Tinfoil Mug
These mugs are first made using tinfoil as the original form. Then a multi part mold is made. Next they are slipcast using stoneware casting slip and colored clay.
Debbie Reichard, MFA University of Washington, is a sculptor and ceramic artist, who works a range of materials, including clay, wood, fiber, sound and found objects. She has taught ceramics and sculpture at Herron School of Art, Indianapolis, The University of Southern Maine, and the University of Colorado, and Bucks County Community College. She is currently the Director of the New College West Ceramics Studio at Princeton University. She has attended artist residencies at the Kohler Company, WI; Sculpture Space, NY; Peters Valley, NJ and Southern Methodist, University, TX. Her work has been included in group and solo exhibitions, including the Jersey City Museum, Dallas International airport, Aljira Center for Contemporary Art, the Newark Museum of Art, and the Children’s Museum, Pittsburgh, PA. Debbie loves playing and experimenting with plaster! After her 3 month residency at the John Michael Kohler Arts/Industry program, she remained there for 6 months as an interim ceramics coordinator. There, she was immersed in the technical world of slip casting, where she gained extensive experience in plaster mold making. She loves trouble-shooting problem molds.

Items purchased through our Craft Fair Exhibitors will have applied shipping rates set by the exhibitor and will vary. Allow 2 weeks for orders to ship.
Exhibition Shipping Rates are not calculated at checkout, but will be invoiced separately to reflect the exact shipping cost of the item.
*Please note that all online and in-person purchases of Exhibition work while the show is up will remain in the gallery until the show's end date. After the show's end date the work can be picked up or shipped to you.
Special Rate Items are items that are over-sized or not eligible for free shipping over $250. You total order will be charged a flat rate of $25 to ship. Special Rate Items will be noted as such in the item's description.

Sales Tax
Peters Valley is required to charge sales tax on purchases shipped to New Jersey.
Insurance
Insurance can be purchased separately through third-party company Route during checkout. Route provides protection for shipments that are lost, broken, or stolen. Route is added to your cart at checkout to enable protection by default, but can be removed if you chose to opt out of insuring your order. If you choose to opt out of the Route Insurance, and your package is lost, stolen or damaged, you will have to file a claim with the shipping carrier directly.
