After a brief stint in advertising, she became a high-school art teacher in the New York City public school system—an experience she survived \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"\u003ewith distinction.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-center para-style-body\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"\u003eWorking across nearly every medium imaginable, Debora has explored paint, printmaking, photography, metal, glass, encaustic, and more. Her sculptural work is often described as darkly humorous and creepily beautiful. Deeply influenced by her extensive travels and long-standing work with Domestic Abuse Services, Inc.
