"This oval serving dish is hand built using pinching and coiling. It was inspired by a field trip I took with my daughter to the Museum of Natural history where we looked at object from various native American cultures including a series of wooden bowls. It is glazed using a wax inlay process and is fired to cone 8 in an electric kiln."
Brenda Quinn, Ossining, NY
Brenda Quinn was born outside of Philadelphia and attended Tyler School of Art where she received a BFA in ceramics. She then went on to receive and MFA in ceramics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Brenda currently lives in Ossining NY where she maintains a Studio in her home. She has been teaching ceramics at a private school in the Bronx for the past 16 years.
