As an artist, I am most interested in color, shape, and form––and how I can use these art elements to reflect or frame the natural world. Whether found in a vintage muumuu, an Uzbek rug, or a roadside ditch, flowers teach important lessons in repetition, pattern, symmetry, asymmetry, balance, and–always–color. I am an avid gardener (I run the school garden at the elementary school where I teach), and my work in the garden often inspires the designs on my ceramic wares. My work in the garden also drives the forms I create in the studio; I am always seeking new ways to display houseplants or spotlight one or two gorgeous cut flowers. For this piece, I wanted to create a drainage tray that wouldn't block the shape or decoration of the flowerpot itself--so I constructed a pedestal that both collects water and acts as a pedestal for maximum display.

Items purchased through our Craft Fair Exhibitors will have applied shipping rates set by the exhibitor and will vary. Allow 2 weeks for orders to ship.
Exhibition Shipping Rates are not calculated at checkout, but will be invoiced separately to reflect the exact shipping cost of the item.
*Please note that all online and in-person purchases of Exhibition work while the show is up will remain in the gallery until the show's end date. After the show's end date the work can be picked up or shipped to you.
Special Rate Items are items that are over-sized or not eligible for free shipping over $250. You total order will be charged a flat rate of $25 to ship. Special Rate Items will be noted as such in the item's description.

Sales Tax
Peters Valley is required to charge sales tax on purchases shipped to New Jersey.
Insurance
Insurance can be purchased separately through third-party company Route during checkout. Route provides protection for shipments that are lost, broken, or stolen. Route is added to your cart at checkout to enable protection by default, but can be removed if you chose to opt out of insuring your order. If you choose to opt out of the Route Insurance, and your package is lost, stolen or damaged, you will have to file a claim with the shipping carrier directly.
