Submissions Deadline January 17th
Are you a maker who previously had a career in another industry? Are you currently working full time and building a career outside of your art/craft work? If so, then this open call is for you! We are seeking makers who have led or are leading another story alongside their creative practice; we want to hear your story and how your career has influenced your work.
In addition to the in person exhibition display in our New Jersey Gallery, we will be publishing a full color exhibition catalog that will highlight all selected works and the artist's stories.
UPCOMING OPPORTUNITIES
'Mediums Revealed' is an exciting exhibition-in-print series hosted by Peters Valley School of Craft, designed to spotlight the diverse creative possibilities within each of its specialized studios. This series will showcase the unique works produced in Ceramics, Blacksmithing, Fine Metals/Jewelry, Woodworking, Fibers, Glass, and Printmaking/Photography, reflecting the distinctive skills and artistry nurtured in each studio. By featuring a dedicated exhibition for each studio, Mediums Revealed aims to illustrate the depth and breadth of craftsmanship that each discipline offers. This series not only highlights the exceptional talent of living artists, but gives inspiration to those looking to start their journey by taking a workshop at Peters Valley.

This exhibition invites artists to explore and showcase textiles that blend traditional techniques with contemporary approaches. The theme emphasizes the duality of fibers: the comforting, familiar textures of traditional textiles juxtaposed with groundbreaking innovations in textile art. Timeless Textiles seeks to highlight how age-old skills have adapted and evolved, revealing new and exciting dimensions within the world of textiles. By merging historical craftsmanship and modern experimentation, this exhibition aims to provide a platform for both established and emerging artists by presenting an array of work from traditional to unique interpretations in the textile medium.

This exhibition aims to showcase the breadth of contemporary and traditional art, welcoming submissions from artists working in any medium—whether traditional, digital, experimental, or beyond.
