Amanda Seanor received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Textiles, a Bachelor's of Science Education in Art Education, and a minor in Art History from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. However, the art of beading came into Amanda’s life long before college or textiles. While on vacation at Myrtle Beach when she was 12, Amanda's neighbor had a beautiful Greyhound dog named Curly, and when she went over one night to play with the dog Amanda was there longer than her mom expected. Once she saw her neighbor making beaded bookmarks and beginning to help, hours later there was a clear fascination with beading. Since then it is a technique that has been self taught for many years and the technique that she goes back to for a creative outlet amongst many others. Amanda lives a truly creative life, whether that is making hand beaded work, weaving on her floor loom, and teaching art to adults and youth, or even by the way she does her eye make-up for the day!
