John Reinking, Pittstown, NJ
John Reinking received a BFA from Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts and his MFA from Marywood University. He currently is an adjunct professor at Raritan Valley Community College and the County College of Morris in NJ. His current body of work consists of wheel thrown gas fired reduction functional pottery and a wood/soda fired functional work. In 2011, he spoke to a large crowd at NCECA (National Conference for the Education in the Ceramic Arts) in Tampa, FL regarding his kiln entitled "Suburban Wood and Soda Firing" and this past August had an article published in the international woodfire magazine, The Log Book, entitled "Experiments in Wood & Soda Firing."
