"The physical role of the hand plays an integral role in the simple act of making art. Craft traditions continue to influence my processes even as technology becomes a greater significance. This work continues this conversation through combining the inherent qualities of natural materials, technology-driven processes and human presence, comparing and contrasting to discover a unity of seemingly opposite views of craft and technology in art.
Objects are mathematic formulas used in physics to describe how the world operates. This work comes from an interest in creating a material representation of the immaterial and embracing aesthetics of new 3D printing technology."
